Bio
Kyle Hosmer is a trial and appellate litigator. He has significant experience representing companies of all sizes and individuals in business disputes, contract questions, and debtor-creditor issues. Kyle has helped clients at all stages of a case, from pre-suit negotiations to final appeals before courts of last resort.
Clients have engaged Kyle on a broad span of topics. They have ranged from novel legal issues with billion-dollar exposures to minor collections requests. Kyle believes that each matter deserves the same level of attention, sophisticated quality of lawyering, and creative legal thought. Kyle also believes in sharp and efficient legal writing. Clients, counsel, and courts have praised Kyle’s briefs.
Kyle has litigated civil and bankruptcy matters in federal and state courts across the country. As well, he has argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and briefed appeals in five federal circuits.
Before joining Belzer Law, Kyle served as the Director of Civil Litigation at a regional firm. Kyle was previously an associate at one of the largest law firms in the world, where he represented clients in appeals, class actions, business disputes, fiduciary litigation, and transactional matters. After graduating cum laude from Washington and Lee University School of Law, Kyle served as a law clerk to the Honorable Julie E. Carnes at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and also the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. He interned for the Honorable John A. Gibney, Jr. at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
Kyle is a proud Colorado native and an avid rock, ice, and mountain climber. He enjoys exploring the outdoors with his wife and children.
